Hourglass - Easy Version For Cello & Voice
This version of Hourglass is perfect either as a challenge for beginner/intermediate singing-cellists, or for advanced players looking for an entry into singing+playing. The vocal melody is modified to synchronise more easily with the cello accompaniment, while the cello part has been carefully thought out to avoid shifting and include more ergonomic and intuitive string crossings, double stops and slurs.
You need to already know how to:
- play using all fingers in the left hand
- manage a 4th finger extension
- play harmonics
Also included is a reference track of midi audio to help internalise the rhythms and intervals.
FILE INSTRUCTIONS:
- The PDF and audio file are bundled together in a zip folder
- On Mac, double click the zip folder to unzip it and access the files
- On PC, right-click the zip folder, select Extract All..., and then follow the instructions.
